The news feeds us tons of information every day, from what is good / bad for you to details about events in other countries. I think a lot of people believe that news stations are credible, and willingly believe anything that is told to them. How should we perceive this information to be able to decide what is true / lies? Is it safe to trust news broadcasts?

Throw in Hannity too. Just curious about how broad your informational base is, and how intellectually curious you are about collecting opinions from various sources before you form your opinions.
I typically read from/watch every source I can. Fox, BBC, CNN, internet, Al Jezeera even. Foreign resources interest me particularly.

When I have the time, I’ll find original transcripts and documents. The freedom of Information Act provides for more access to important US documents than most realize.

The Government web sites are on the level also. By law they have to be factual.
